I’ve always loved that bodystyle, especially if there’s a K-Series swapped in.

My second car was a ‘96 DX hatch. Drove it for four years through college. I really miss it sometimes.

My 3rd car was a 91 do hatch, and my 5th was a 97cx hatch.
I had the 97 until I did something stupid and bought a new 2003 protege5.
I should kept that civic.....

There may still be pieces of it left on his driveway or lawn.

I absolutely loved my EG hatch. My woman wouldn’t pony up the cash for it when we found it, so I bought it and drove it while she saved to pay me for it, so I was forced to drive an auto one. I always wish I had of just bought another one with a manual and B16. I’ve always loved the small super simplified N/A manual hatch which is so hard to find today.
When I hear “All-New 2017 Civic Hatchback!” It makes me has a sad when I see what it has become. We really need a cross between a fit and a new hatch that is more like the EK in size/shape, but with today’s safety standards. Also Hondas standards from the 90's need to come back too.
Where are you located btw?

In 2010 i sold it to buy a then new AWD manual SX4. Which I crashed in feb 2015. With the insurance money we bought a 2014 pathfinder, since we were expecting our 3rd kid.
I loved my sx4 but, lack of interior space for 3 kids meant I couldn’t get another one.

that would be insanity. NOW, I will agree that retaining the B-series engine, swapping in a manual AWD trans from a CR-V, and adding a rear diff and such would make for a hoot.

Oof. Don’t encourage me. Even if you were my neighbor I’d still end up not buying it and regretting it before it’s even gone.
